The Unity Scientific Potato Analyzer is based on the SpectraStar XT, the next generation high performance NIR analyzer based on the TRUE ALIGNMENT® Spectroscopy technology. The SpectraStar XT incorporates a rotating top window (RTW) system for the ultimate in sampling flexibility, allowing the customer to make measurements of all potato and in-process samples. The SpectraStar XT’s quick analysis time provides real-time feedback that allows the process to be controlled, optimizing the process and providing rapid payback Constituents predicted include moisture and other quality measurements on incoming and in-process potatoes as well as fat in batter coatings and FFAs and other quality measurements on frying oils.
